18 weeks as of 1/18/13
Size of the Baby: She is the size of a sweet potato at 18 weeks
Maternity Clothes: Still wearing my normal clothes.. but the waist on my jeans are getting a lil snug! I tried wearing my Old Navy maternity jeans I got last month and they were more comfy but I'm still a lil small for them.. And really guys all of a sudden i feel HUGE.. like my stomach feels like it's going to burst.. And kinda hurts..
Stretch Marks: None yet, but I started applying lotion
Weight gain: +7lbs total. In 4 whole months I only put on 4 lbs and now in 1 week I put on another 3?! umm kinda scary.. I know it's expected but kinda freaked me out a lil.. I should probably cut back on all the bread and pizza I've been craving.. (jalapeno cheese bread, fresh hot sourdough [not just a lil either] dipped in oil and garlic, pizza of course.. this was all in 1 day.. oops) I blame her.
Sleep: Same issues with my hips when sleeping.. I wake up more frequently to switch sides because i'm so uncomfortable. Hey girls any tips? I think i'm going to start sleeping sitting up and see how that goes..
Best Moment of the Week: Well at 17 weeks it was having co-workers actually tell me at work I look like I'm showing now! (umm.. thanks extra 3lbs?) and today just 18w 2d.. best moment was definitely feeling my lil girl move.
Movement: Yes now I feel her all the time. And love love it.. All weekend I thought it was just gas.. but now I know it's definitely her. Even Bob thinks he can feel her.. I don't know though if she's big enough to make those strong kicks for him to feel but i'll let him think so.. he gets a kick out of it -pun intended ;)
Food Cravings: Lemons! Fresh cut up lemon in water.. downing lots of water as long as I have the lemon. And luckily for me we had lemon poppyseed muffin mix so I made my honey make me those too. They were delish! I don't know what it is about this citrus thing for prego woman but hopefully we will be safe this flu/cold season!
Gender: Baby Girl!
Belly Button In or Out: In
Anything making you queasy or sick?: Nothin
What I miss: New thing I'm missing.. Energy drinks. I love them.
What I'm looking forward to: Next week's appt., which is technically the appt where they tell the gender at my dr's.. I just always look forward to getting to see her!
Nursery: The plan is to move all my clothes out and into our master bedroom closet in the next couple weeks.. I'll share a pic sometime but I've been so lucky to have what will be her nursery as my closet.. I'm going to miss all the space :( I honestly don't know how we'll fit all of our clothes and shoes in 1 closet.. we'll soon find out.
Ladies- lookout for an email today announcing who you're paired with!

Oh you know what you should do? Although, in CA it might not work as well as somewhere colder...but anyway...if her closet is a lot bigger, she won't use all the space for years, right? I mean, baby clothes are TINY haha, so you should keep your off season clothes, dresses, ect. in her closet still. That's what I did at our old house, then I didn't have to run back and forth between bedrooms every day and I didn't have a ton of clothes jammed into our bedroom closet.
ohhh...hot sourdough. Did you know that sourdough is really difficult to find outside the west coast?
I used a ton of pillows to get somewhat comfy in bed. I always flipped over and over because it hurt so bad! You look cute!
such a cute little baby bump!! Weight gain is a crazy thing - I didn't gain any weight the last 3 or 4 weeks and then 3 pounds in less than a week. makes me a little nervous!!
I've been doing something similar to this on my blog too...
and I agree, my hips are killing me at night too. I dread going to sleep at night because I know it will be super uncomfortable. Using a pillow between my legs works a bit.
Have a great day!
