12 Weeks ~ Finally showing!

So I skipped weeks 10 & 11 because not much was really changing.. I think I lucked out so far in this pregnancy because I've been feeling pretty good. Or normal I guess :) So grateful i'm not feeling like Kate Middleton is right now! yuck! I wonder if we're due around the same time? hmm

The only update from week 11 was we got to have another appt to see the baby.. And oh my has she grown! Yes I said she, I don't know why, it sorta just started happening like I already know or something..I would talk and say "she" instead of "it" and then correct myself but it will be strange kinda to find out if it really is a lil girl.

Here's what we got to see last week! We loved it! Bob was a lil shocked at first, and said " Whoa! Whaaat is that?!"
Little one was moving around so much the dr. was having a hard time getting measurements and a good shot. Right away "it' (ps as i was saying this in my head and as i'm typing I did just say "She") reminded me of a lil teddy bear, with those little stubby arms and legs.

And finally I can capture my bump. Because I'm finally showing, more than just my lil pooch. Oh yah it's still there but I know i'm showing now because my stomach is harder and it sorta feels like I just did some crunches and worked out so hard that i'm a little sore from it. Which I know it is definitely not because I kicked my ass while working out.. I'm far from that right now, and should maybe start working out just a lil harder. I think I'm being too relaxed at the gym.
I was really hoping i could track my bump pics with my chalk board but some of you may remember how that turned out! I tried to turn a pinterest craft into reality and well let's just say maybe I'm no Martha Stewart?

How Far Along: 12 weeks today!

Size of the Baby: baby is the size of a plum

Maternity Clothes: I ordered some maternity clothes on cyber Monday- only really keeping a couple of em.. love this one from Old Navy..

I guess when I wore this earlier this week, it was more noticeable that I was pregnant to a co-worker? Maybe it's the print? Comfy though!

Also just ordered some jeans from ON this week because well, my jeans are not tight around my hips or waist or anything but I can't stand the button.. It feels like it's digging into my stomach!

Stretch marks: none yet. I need to start applying that tummy butter stuff!

Weight gain: I don't think i've gained very much.. maybe a 1 or 2 lbs.. I finally got a new scale since I was afraid mine at home had been lying to me for months because the dr's scale was always so different! We'll see how the next appt goes!

Sleep: Better! I'm not really waking up early anymore.. actually just would love to sleep more.. And I only have to get up and pee maybe once.

Best Moment of the Week: Noticing that i'm actually showing. Actually I think it was all Bob who made me realize it. We were in the kitchen making dinner and talking and I noticed he's looking at my stomach and grinning then reached out to touch my stomach and laughs..thanks babe for calling me out on the extra apple fritter toast I so didn't need to eat! But then think about it later that night and notice how firm it was so I thought you know what, ya i think it's not just my pooch!

Movement: Lots of movement, inside according to our last ultrasound but no it's too early for me to feel anything!

Food Cravings: I'm still craving Olive Garden from yesterday.. Hopefully this weekend we can go out!
I also have not been craving meat! At all, unless it's in a burger or sandwhich so i've been a little worried I'm not getting enough protein so I picked up this, which is oh so deliciouso! May have to pick up more!

Gender: Who knows?! But I can't wait to find out!

Belly Button in or out: In

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week!

What I miss:
some chardonnay! Yes this girl is missing her chilled glasses  of wine after hard long days at work.

What I am looking forward to: My next appt in a couple weeks where we get another ultra sound!

Nursery: Nada yet

Emotions: So emotional. I can cry over the stupidest shit now. Mostly like when I hear something happy.. and I get happy for that person I want to cry.
Also man was I on one last night.. I picked up bob and went from smiling and happy to see him to a minute later into this little baby that doesn't get her way and thinks her husband isn't happy and doesn't understand her, all because he didn't want to go out to dinner (cough cough Olive Garden)! Reading the weekly newsletters it says by this week or next my emotions should be a lil more leveled out? we shall see!

Happy Friday!

XoXo Rachel

Glad you're feeling well!! My only advice is wait as long as you can for your maternity bras--because I feel like I wasted $$ on 4 pairs that did not fit well after month 5/6!! I had to buy nursing bras (which are like sports bras) and I wear those every day...I am so excited for you! I wonder what you'll have!! :)

I was recently pregnant so I understand you feeling like Bob didn't understand your need for Olive Garden. My husband thought I was crazy half the time because I would cry over those little things that use to annoy me. Before pregnancy I would have been snarky and we would laugh about it but boy when I was pregnant I was so hormonal. My obsession was spaghetti for awhile and then it turned it salad and baked potato.

This is so exciting!!! And I bet you are having a girl. I did the same thing when I was pregnant with my girls, plus I had a dream that they were both girls. You look adorable!!!
