Kylie Jayne ~6 Month Update

Let's just fast forward a few months shall we?! Life with 2 littles is so much fun and leaves me with hardly anytime to hop on the computer! I left off at 3months and will try to catch up and fill in the past 3 months but we'll just move it right along to our 6month update! 

Here's my babygirl! My little Monkey. She's the happiest baby I swear. Do we all think that the 2nd is the happiest or just so much easier because now we've already done it before?
She's just always smiling..










^^^P.S. How am I supposed to pic just 1 picture?! I know they all look the same but I just loved every one even with a slight difference.

EATING:  This chick. She loves loves to eat. Not just breastfeeding but food! Man...I started solids about 3-4weeks before hitting the 6 month mark. We did oatmeal cereal for the first few feedings but just kinda went straight for the jarred baby foods. Serious though I don't know why I didn't get these with Kenzie!? They're really not that expensive..I'm still giving her organic & non-gmo foods just already pureed and mixed up for me! She loves them. Grabs the spoon like I can't feed her fast enough! First food was squash. We were actually at a baby shower playing guess the baby food game and I thought you know what? Let's see what she thinks! Breastfeeding is going amazing too. She eat about every 3hours..sometimes 2. I'm actually starting to notice maybe a growth spurt starting right now too which explains some things! She loves loves Sweet Potatoes and Carrots and of course any of the blends with applesauce.

SLEEPING: You are an awesome sleeper! I did the whole cry it out thing at about 4 1/2 months and it was tough..but nothing a little wine didn't help with! The first few days were a little tough but after that I was kinda bummed I didn't stick with it with Kenzie. I now am able to put Kylie to bed at about 7:30/8 and not have to feed or wake up to her until early in the morning. Most days it's not until about 5 or 6 but every once in awhile she'll wake up at about 3ish. If she doesn't go right back down after about 10mins or so I'll go in there...bring her into our bed and nurse and change her diaper and then bring her back into her crib. The little musical seahorse and her binky are MAGIC! Sometimes though I worry that this little seahorse is another crutch! If she's not fully asleep and the seahorse stops playing music...oh she'll let you know! During the day most naps are in the crib or sometimes, especially the early morning nap if I want to go back to sleep too until Kenzie wakes up she'll sleep in her rocker. It's also pretty amazing when I can get them to both nap together in the afternoon. It's not always, but often!

CLOTHING:  9months mostly. We still have 3-6 and 6 months in there but usually you're in 9month onesies and pants. I'll squeeze you in the 6 if I don't really care if you're going to have floods on.

STATS:

Weight: You’re 17lbs .8oz (68%ile. We obvi just had your 6month check up- you got 4 shots :( :( - such a trooper though! )  

Height: 2' 2.5" (76%ile)

Head size: 17.32" (91%ile) <---both my girls have some big ol' noggins!

Hair: Looking blonder!

Eyes: Gray blue

Some "firsts" that happened this month:

♥ You started blowing little spit bubbles. I think it's the cutest.

♥ Your first time riding in the stroller like a big girl!

♥ We celebrated Grandma's birthday!

♥ You started to sit up on your own! For the most part you're pretty sturdy...and then sometimes you fall over.

♥ Your first New Year's!! I'm just happy I remembered to quickly get a picture before putting you to bed before everyone started coming over.

♥ Our first time to our new lakehouse (family friend's)! Looking to many more trips this summer!

♥ You rolled over!!! Yaya!
We had lotss of practice this month as I realized big sis was a month ahead already with this milestone.

Kylie Jayne ~3 Month Update

 

I can’t believe how much faster the 2nd babe’s time goes by. These 3 months snuck up on us! Actually you’re already half way to 4 months!! You are a happy and chill baby. Everyone comments on it. I don’t want to jinx myself and agree but looking back at Kenzie’s updates and trying to remember, you definitely are! You are still an eat.sleep.poop machine but are having more and more longer moments of awake time and you just like to smile and laugh. Sometime’s in the middle of the night you’ll just wake up and hang out and laugh. Here is a side by side of 1 , 2 and 3.

Funny story about that dang purple bow. That was her Halloween costume bow.. and all October I could not find it anywhere. Well guess what, I found it Nov. 1st, right before I realized I needed to take her 3 month pictures still. So heck ya I’m going to have her wear it all the time now to make up for it.

EATING:  You are an amazing little eater! I don’t really keep track of how often you’re eating since you’ll just let me know when you’re hungry. We’ve tried a few bottles and sometimes you’ll take em but the last time when Grandma had you all day long you held out and would not take it from her. You went over 8 hours without it! Little Stinker. But..I’d say you look healthy, little chunky butt.

SLEEPING: You love sleep! And on your own (well with the help of your binky), thank goodness! Your sister at this age would only fall asleep with a lot off cuddling. You sleep great at night.. You have to be in bed about 8pm or else you’ll make sure we know you’re tired… Mostly waking up about 3 or 4 to eat and then sometimes you’ll be up for a little bit but usually I change you, wrap you back up in your blanket and place you next to me in the rock ‘n play and you’ll pass back out. I’ve been less consistent with swaddling and you seem to be doing ok.
During the day you sleep in your swing, your pack ‘n play and sometimes I’ll try to hide you in the room in your rock ‘n play because the dogs and your sister are loud and easily wake you up.


CLOTHING:  You’ve been wearing a lot of 6months clothes since it’s getting pretty chilly. Most of your 3 months pieces are more Summer wear…And you’re pushing size 9months for sleepers since you’ve got some pretty long legs.. and big feet! Also we’re loving your cousin Ruby’s hand me downs- you have so many clothes sometimes we only wear something once before I realize it’s too small for the next time!!

Hair: Still dark blonde/brown..

I WANT TO REMEMBER:
♥How chill you are. Just chilling with daddy. Whenever he’s home..we kind of just do a lot of this.

♥ We went to Shaelynn’s costume birthday party. You went as a little A’s baby.

♥ We met baby Easton, Courtney’s son. These two are just 5 weeks apart! Look at his head of hair!

♥ When I caught Kenzie reading to you. It was one of the cutest things.

♥ We met your boy version doppleganger. Carly's son Benjamin. You two are less than a week apart, in person you both looked pretty identical.(Not so much in the picture though)..

♥ We celebrated Auntie’s 24th birthday.

♥ You love looking at yourself on camera and smile like crazy.

♥ Dance party!

♥ We celebrated your first Halloween with Bradley’s birthday party first. (You turned 3 months a week before Halloween so that’ll be in next month’s post!)

♥ You had your first day away from Mommy. Over 8 hours with Grandma and you wouldn’t take the bottle at all for her. You made sure to make up for it when I got home and filled that belly up!

♥ We went to the Pumpkin Patch!

Not too many “firsts” this month… It’s so true you kind of stop taking so many pictures after the 1st!
